THE CHALLENGE

This hard-to-find specialized sculpting tool needed to be replicated for the sculptor. The surface geometry of the tool is difficult to CAD model from scratch, and the tool’s serrated edge is very fine and difficult to capture.

THE SOLUTION

The tool was 3D scanned as a mesh model to capture the surface geometry of the object.

Following this, the mesh model was imported into CAD software to reverse engineer the part and create a solid 3D model.
